Product detailed description
EFFECTS
- Digestive Support: Peppermint essential oil can help with digestive issues such as bloating, flatulence, nausea, or stomach cramps. It is used to relieve these problems when applied to the skin around the abdomen.
- Pain Relief: Peppermint has analgesic effects and can help alleviate headaches, migraines, muscle pain, or pain related to arthritis. It is often used for application on the temples or for neck massage in case of migraines.
- Relief for Respiratory Problems: Peppermint can help with colds, coughs, or blocked sinuses. Applying the oil to the chest or inhaling it helps open up the airways.
- Skin Support: Peppermint can help with itching or acne due to its properties. The oil can be applied to the skin (diluted) to treat minor wounds or irritations.
Possible Side Effects:
- Toxic Doses: Excessive use of essential oil can be toxic, especially for children or pregnant women. It is important to use it in small amounts and never apply it directly to the skin without dilution.
- Skin Irritation: If the oil is used improperly or in high concentration, it may cause skin irritation, especially in sensitive areas.
- Increased Blood Pressure: Peppermint can cause a slight increase in blood pressure, so individuals with hypertension should be cautious.
USE
- Add 5 drops to a bath with a temperature up to 37°C. For better solubility, you can mix it with salt or a carrier plant oil.
- Direct inhalation: Drop 1-2 drops on a cotton handkerchief or cotton pad and inhale.
- Aromatherapy Jewelry: Drop a few drops (1-5 drops depending on the size of the jewelry).
- Aroma Lamp or Diffuser: Add 2-3 drops to an aroma lamp and let it diffuse in your home, apartment, office, or even in the car. Start with fewer drops to avoid an overly strong mixture. The effect of essential oils is most potent during the first 30-60 minutes, depending on how quickly the oils evaporate. After this time, the effects decrease.
Contraindications
- Never apply to the skin undiluted, only in a diluted carrier oil. Non-toxic, non-irritating, but occasionally sensitizing. Always test a small amount first for sensitivity or allergic reactions. Direct and indirect contact with eyes may cause irritation. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before use.
